Sugar is an integral part of our everyday lives - and a strong economic factor: in 2024, the German sugar industry achieved a turnover of around 4.04 billion euros, with almost 6,000 people ensuring its supply every day. Around 30.4 kg of sugar is consumed per capita in Germany every year.
To ensure that this sensitive product reaches our food in a consistently high quality, production plants and refineries must be absolutely clean.
